I’m Sydney, a Washington-based elopement and wedding photographer who believes your day should feel like an experience (not a checklist).
I fell in love with Washington long before I started photographing couples here. This state has everything: misty rainforests, rugged mountain peaks, wild coastline, and even desert-like landscapes in Eastern Washington. It’s one of the few places where you can summit a mountain one weekend and wander through a rainforest the next and that variety is a huge part of why I do what I do.
Photography started for me while backpacking and chasing the Milky Way through astrophotography. I spent my weekends hiking, planning routes, watching the weather, and looking forward to the process just as much as reaching the summit. That love for adventure, planning, and being out in the landscape naturally turned into photographing elopements and intimate weddings in Washington.
My Approach to Elopements & Weddings
I take the planning side of elopements seriously, because it matters.
As a search and rescue coordinator, I’ve seen what can happen when precautions aren’t taken. Things like downloaded maps, backup plans, timelines, and communication aren’t optional when you’re heading into the mountains or remote areas. That experience shapes how I work with couples.
I help build timelines that flow well, feel realistic, and leave room to actually enjoy your day. I don’t plan elopements around shot lists or force moments to happen. Instead, I make sure there’s space for emotion, connection, and the natural rhythm of the day so you’re not running from point A to point B without ever slowing down to realize you just got married.

What you won’t see listed is how much I care about your experience. I pay attention to the flow of the day, how you’re feeling, the weather, and the small details that matter.
I show up prepared with backups, snacks, hand warmers, and an emergency kit, so you can stay present and enjoy your day. My role goes beyond photos. It’s about helping you feel supported while you do something meaningful in a place that matters to you.
